Stacy applies her cross-cultural and linguistic expertise in the main areas of interpreting, translating and writing.  The following is a breakdown of her primary work in these fields:

INTERPREting (consecutive/simultaneous/conference)

  • Interpret at meetings, events and conferences (in person/video/conference calls) for international corporations, small businesses, individuals, the Department of State and local governments

  • Interpret at depositions, arbitrations, attorney-client consultations and in court and other legal settings

  • Interpret for Japanese directors, actors and artists at interviews, exhibitions, film screenings and other events at art institutions such as Lincoln Center, the Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of the Moving Image

Translating

  • Translate business plans, meeting minutes, articles and websites for leading U.S. and Japanese companies 

  • Translation of best-selling business books and cultural books, and creating subtitles for documentaries

  • Translation of International PEN Club short stories and creation of supertitles for Japanese plays 

Writing

  • Contribute articles to corporate websites like WeWork and maintain Japan-related blog WIT Life

  • Former journalist at Nikkei Business, Japan's premier weekly business magazine

  • Former writer for Chopsticks, a monthly magazine that focused on Japanese culture in NY, and former columnist for weekly newspaper Shukan NY Seikatsu's Voices from the New Yorkers
